IC INFORMATION;
Characters Name: Kei Tsukishima
Age: 15
Canon: Haikyuu!!
Canon Point: End of the first season of the anime.
Species: Human
Gender: Male
Orientation: Pansexual? Kei doesn't really seem to give much of a crap about anything, and is unfazed by the "beauty" of a manager they have for Karasuno. He doesn't really seem to notice the opposite gender or the same gender, and he seems to hold disdain for everyone equally. One gets the distinct impression that if he can tolerate someone enough to be attracted to them, he won't really care what gender they are.

History: Link.
Appearance: Link! Additionally, he is 6'2" in height.
Personality: Hoo boy, how does one even describe Tsukishima? His first encounter in the anime is trying to pick a fight with the dynamic duo of main characters, and his attitude doesn't improve even a smidge from there. He's belligerent and downright mean most of the time, and he can effortlessly fade into the background, forgotten, only to launch a perfectly timed barb the moment someone screws up.

Tsukishima is also a character who doesn't care much about anything. After seeing his brother's disappointment in the volleyball team at Karasuno, he's distanced himself from everyone and everything, keeping his interests and people at an arm's length to keep from being disappointed and hurt. He doesn't want to put effort into something, be it volleyball or a relationship, only to see it no longer bear fruit. Suga's position on the bench, despite being a third year, seems to only enforce this idea.

This also extends to his views of people; certain personality types just piss him off for exuding too much energy constantly, like Hinata or Kageyama. People who are loud or overly-energetic end up almost immediately on his shit list. Additionally, he hates people who are too open about their emotions, which is probably an after effect of the fact that he's such an emotionally constipated asshole. The only emotion he can portray is disdain, sarcasm, and anger, so anything else just raises his hackles and makes him feel like he needs to take a shower and sulk to return his aura to it's normal shitty black.

However, he isn't unpleasant enough to deliberately sabotage his team. He plays well, despite not being a good communicator, and when he does start putting his energy into the game, he's actually got things to contribute to the team that clearly make a difference (as evidenced by the way he and Kageyama work well together despite their hatred for each other). Tsukishima is the kind of character who is an unrepentant asshole to his team, but if anyone else were to try and pull the same shit with them, he'd kick their ass. And while he doesn't respect the other team members who are his age, he respects the third years, and even tolerates Suga's over-the-top sunny attitude and takes his encouragement to heart.

He also clearly gets so fucking tired of social interaction, which goes back to his desire to not put his energy into anything, and uses his headphones to deter anyone talking to him. We see him wearing them between classes sometimes and when he's studying, so music is obviously something important to him, be it as a buffer or to calm his nerves and keep himself focused.

He has a chip on his shoulder the size of a small continent, but the very, very select few that he likes and respect can say that he's fiercely loyal and almost frighteningly observant and attentive. The snark never goes away, but some, like Yamaguchi, kind of view it as an endearment.

Abilities: According to the Haikyuu wiki, Tsukishima's strongest skill is his game sense, which is 5/5 while his other abilities are listed as 3/5. He's a pretty strong player all around, but his ability to sense the tone of the game and predict moves is strong, and his specialty is in blocking.
Other: Nothing to add.

SAMPLES;
First Person: One, two, three.

Third Person:

With his headphones over his ears and his gaze directed out the window, Tsukishima knows he's not as brooding as the other club members are today. They lost, and there's nothing anyone can really do to change that fact. Despite all their hard work and effort, they lost, and now they all feel awful and sad and full of remorse. He didn't work as hard, conserved his energy, and therefore didn't hold any lofty expectations about the tournament.

But if that's the case, why does his chest feel tight? It's a lurking sensation, one that the heavy beat flowing through his ears can't seem to soothe away, and the very reason he doesn't try is to avoid feeling like this. But they made him care somehow, be it Sugawara-senpai's encouraging words and his hand on his shoulder as they talked, or Bakageyama's fingers curling in the back of his jersey and tugging, showing him where to move for an impressive block and speaking to him like an actual human being and not just one of his brainless subjects.

He realizes that he's clenching his teeth, and that just makes him frown, eyebrows creasing almost painfully as he drums his pencil against the desk.

The entirity of his lunch break would have been spent like this if someone hadn't come over to his desk, turning one of the chairs around to sit in it backwards. Tsukishima pulls his headphones off, face twisted in a scowl.

"What?"
