As Tsukki talks about Kenma he can't help but to chuckle a little at him.]

[he's not going to dignify that with a response. that happiness is exactly what you should be feeling over the fact that he noticed.]

Shut up. [he sounds a bit more flustered than usual.] I'm just. Really not sure if he'd even think about me in that way.

I don't even know if he likes guys. I didn't even know I liked guys, or, well, anyone at all like that. And we're really similar, which is great, but it also means he's an impenetrable emotional wall most of the time. I catch little glimpses sometimes [and he's wonderful, inside and out] but.

[a frustrated noise followed by a long bout of silence, only broken by his muttering.] People don't like me. I don't give them a reason to.

[There it is! Yamaguchi is really happy to have his friend here, he feels bad he wasn't here from him before now...he really does.]

[He feels the frustration over the phone, with ease. Leaning back against his couch, he lets out a small sound.]

You know, you're my best friend, right? Yeah, you're kind of rough at times and like to push buttons but that doesn't make you a bad person. I can say I get frustrated with you sometimes but I said that at camp...but it doesn't change you being my friend.

With the whole liking guys things, I don't care? If you do or you don't then I don't care, you would still be my friend. If it makes you happy then it's a good thing, right?

[He pauses, wow, he's getting a little emotional here.]

Could you ask him? I don't know Kenma well...or well, most of Nekoma, but he seems like a really honest person.

[he'll deny it until he dies if asked, but there's definitely a sniffle, and he needs a second to collect himself. he hadn't even realized that he was worried about being gay and being accepted regardless of who he chose to love, but leave it to yamaguchi to nip it in the bud before it could keep him up at night. yamaguchi's is really the only opinion that matters.]

I don't say it often, but it. Means a lot to me that you can still see good things in me and that you're still my friend.

He is. That's one of the really good things about him. I never feel like I have to worry about him lying to me. If things go well at the dance, it'd probably be a good idea to just be candid and ask him what his orientation is.

[Yamaguchi knew the blond all too well. Even if Tsukki wouldn't verbally express worry he knew it might be something that was bothering him in the back of his mind. So before he can even think that Yamaguchi wouldn't support him he was going to get rid of that worry.

The comment has his breath hold for a moment before he laughs softly.]

That's how it seems to me! I know, Hinata is pretty good friends with him. That would be best, I think....worse case he isn't, right?

[If he isn't then he would be there for Tsukki, he would always be there for him.]

Ugh, don't remind me about the shrimp. I'm sure he has nothing but bad things to say about me to Kenma. He's not a bad guy, he's just protective of his friends. Which extends to Kenma. Of course he's going to worry about how he's going to be treated. [this...kind of implies that he thinks highly of hinata in this regard, but whatever.]

Yeah, that true. I know you won't treat him badly, you are rough sometimes but a good guy!

[He knows his friend really well.]
