| [ With no need to actually attend class, Kenma has been, often times, staying up into the night and sleeping in the next morning. Today turns out to be different, though only in the sleeping in part, with him venturing out of the house early to head to the pleasure gate area. There's a shop in particular that he has his sights set on, and arriving as it opens is critical to make sure his efforts aren't in vain. You wouldn't want to be too late to try a new cake that's been put on the menu, right? Right. Which is exactly the reason that Kenma, in his yawning, slightly drowsy glory, stands outside said shop, Nekoma jacket sliding off one shoulder as he waits for the place to open. He hopes he'll be one of the few, if not the only, to arrive this early so that it won't be crowded or noisy, but he almost wished he had company in Shouyou or another of his few friends. ] |
| [ It feels like time is going rather slowly, and he's about to pull out his phone to check when the shop will be opening, wondering if he should have brought his PSP with him after all, when someone approaches. Kenma only responds, rather belatedly, when he hears the unexpected call of his name, having been all too ready to be ignored and pay the other no mind in turn. His chin jerks up, gaze lifting to see who's there, and the other male is immediately recognizable if not surprising to see. He raises a hand as well, slowly, shyly, glancing off to the side. ] Hello. Uhm, you can just call me Kenma if you want. [ Perhaps that's a weird way to start his greeting, but he's much more used to, and comfortable with, people using his given name. ] It's Tsukishima, right? I didn't think anyone else would be here this early. |
| [ He opens his mouth to protest even that, but decides it probably isn't worth the effort, and it's at least better than going by his surname. Kenma can't help but be a little wary, with the way Shouyou has talked about Tsukishima it's hard to blame him, however, mostly he's curious. Much the same on his end, he only knows the other through his friends, and he remembers their practice match quite well. Tsukishima had been interesting to play against and left more of an impression than was normal for him. ] We live together, but I don't go out as often. [ So it's pretty understandable that he hasn't been seen or they haven't bumped into each other. Kenma glances up, golden eyes intrigued. ] Are you here for the new dessert, too, then? |
| [ He makes a sound in favour of nodding or verbally answering, curious gaze focused on the other as he tries to understand why Tsukishima sounds like that. Is he alone in his house? ] He's my 'brother', I guess. Are you not with anyone you know? [ Most of those he's talked to are with someone on their team or at least someone they're friends with, of the people from back home at least. Kenma can completely understand the sentiment, because he feels the same way. ] Yeah, I was hoping that wouldn't happen, too. It looks like we're the only ones for now. [ Which is something he's already very grateful for: no crowds or rushing or loudness. ] |
